HABIIIBIJI – حبيـــبيجي weaves a sonic tapestry of microtonal precision and immersive texture. At the core are microtonal synthesizers, shaping vibrating drones and well-tempered melodies with a strong depth and presence.
These evolving electronic landscapes set the stage for voice, rooted in the ancient Indian Dhrupad tradition, adding a human and mystic thread to the electronic fabric.
Hypnotic arpeggiators and intricate rhythms, built from sound-designed beats and textured field recordings, create an immersive groove, guiding the audience through a progressive trance that blurs the lines between past and future.
erinleehong works with sound and field recordings to explore the gap between the sounds we hear with our ears and those we perceive with our brains, reaching the subconscious loop of a certain space.
